Dear Students, Welcome to the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be) University, a lively academic community that synergises creativity, critical thinking, and compassion. Our school has six exciting domains: Psychology, English, Media Studies, Social Work, Social Sciences and Languages, equipped to empower learners to think critically, express their ideas, and act in a socially responsible way.
We think beyond the classroom and believe that learning should be lifelong and lead to finding new ideas, questioning what you think you know, and really getting involved in the world. Keeping this in mind, we use a multidisciplinary approach that enables students to understand and empathise with real-world problems. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences offers double and single major undergraduate programs, postgraduate programs with specialisations, and research programs in all of the major humanities and social sciences fields. All of our departments are well supported, with modern labs and well-designed skill studios.
We prepare our learners and researchers to be not only employed but also to be socially responsible and concerned. This is a result of a combination of achievement in the classroom, experiential activities, and value-based education.
