Sports & Games
‘Sports’ is a single word that encompasses all the qualities of the young and energetic. Every person strives towards mental and physical health, and it is evident that a life full of games and physical activity result in a healthy being. The Sports and Games Club at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) aims at encouraging and training interested, talented sportspersons and lead them in a discovering journey of physical strength and enhancement of sports skills.
In order to achieve these objectives, the Club members visualize and execute relevant events and activities that benefit the students and the faculties on the sports front. The Club is responsible for four major events: Selections and Coaching, Acharyotsava, Kridotsava, and Chavara Cup, designed to address various sports and games so that every enthusiast has their place to showcase their ability in the respective sports event. Apart from the said activities, the club also engages in hosting and conducting other intra and inter-university events at the Institution and University level.
The Club comprises of efficient faculty coordinators and three student coordinators, who are guided by the Physical Director — Dr. S. Arockiaraj.

Chavara Cup
Prestigious inter-collegiate sports championship attracting top university and college teams across South India in competitive basketball, football, and volleyball.
Jayantian Cup
The Jayantian Cup 2026 is a national-level inter-collegiate sports tournament for men and women hosted by the Centre for Physical Education & Fitness at Kristu Jayanti University in Bengaluru.










Badminton

Basketball

Indigenous contact sport training on standard synthetic competition mats with specialized coaches focusing on raids, ankle holds, agility, and tactical defense.
Karate
Traditional martial arts training focusing on kata forms, competitive kumite sparring, agility drills, and practical self-defense techniques under certified coaches.
Pencak Silat
Full-body martial art integrating dynamic strikes, joint manipulation, defensive blocks, and artistic weapon forms for state and national tournaments.
Shooting
Precision target shooting training developing supreme mental focus, steady aim, breath control, and competition-level accuracy.
Taekwondo

Track & Field Athletics
Kridotsava is an Intra-University annual sports and games meet conducted to engage all student sports enthusiasts to participate in events of their choice. The entire student community is encouraged to participate and on an average 60% of the student community represents itself in this event. Field events are conducted a week before the Kridotsava day and track events are conducted on the annual sports meet day.
Acharyotsava Sports Meet
Acharyotsava is an annual inter-departmental sports and games championship exclusively organized for teachers and faculty members. Designed to promote fitness, wellness, and vibrant camaraderie beyond academic classrooms, the event brings educators together in spirited competitions across badminton, throwball, table tennis, and track events.
Chavara Cup & Jayantian Cup
Prestigious inter-collegiate sports championships hosted by Kristu Jayanti University, drawing top varsity teams across South India and nationwide to compete in high-stakes basketball, football, and volleyball tournaments upholding highest sporting standards.
