Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) believes that learning could happen anywhere—it is not limited to just academics and classrooms. The Kristu Jayanti Music Academy provides quality music education within an environment that nurtures every student’s music skills, inculcating in them a passion for music whether as a hobby or a career.

The Academy provides a platform for students to exhibit their musical skills and talents. It is a forum where, through musical activities, like-minded people meet, exchange ideas, and develop into better human beings. KJMA conducts programmes to identify and nurture talents and provide a platform for members to develop musical skills in Vocals, Music History, Music Theory, and Music Appreciation.

Kalajyothi, the literary, cultural and arts fest of the UG department is the signature fest of the Literary and Cultural Association and the first fest of the academic year. As the name suggests, the fest marks the lighting of art that illuminates beacons of creativity across the university as students from different departments come forward to display their skills.

For the newcomers, it is an exhibit and a platform through which they can showcase their uniqueness and talent while senior students find it as an opportunity to display their development and love for the arts that has grown in their time with Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University). The fest comprises of competitions in Dance, Music, Literature, Drama and Fine Arts, thus testing the talents of students in all the major five areas of the arts.

Dance is an expression of emotion and passion. It encompasses movements that tell its own story that cannot be captured by mere words. Nrityanjali is a celebration and tribute to the exhilarating art of dance. Every year, this national level inter-university dance fest receives enthusiastic participation from colleges in Bangalore and from surrounding states. It is conducted during the even semester of the academic year and consists of a day-long programme to showcase different forms and styles of dance.

Celebrating diversity through an array of dances, every performance presented on that day is an ode to this divine form of human expression, breaking language barriers and uniting lovers of the art. The fest is honoured with the presence of eminent judges and experts who stage their shows across the globe.

As the world outside becomes a smaller and an increasingly interconnected Global village, the campus of Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) has also become a melting pot of diverse cultures. With students from the various states of India, the university also amalgamates a number of foreign cultures as well, representing youth from Asia and Africa like Ghana, Costa Rica, the Middle East, Korea, and more.

Ethnic Day is a much anticipated and vibrant celebration of the cultures that the student body represents. Celebrated along with Onam—the harvest festival of Kerala—students and faculty dress in their ethnic wear and celebrate the spirit of unity and inclusiveness.

The value of a good teacher can never be overstated. They do more than just teach and instruct. They guide, support, inspire and encourage. They mould minds and shape thinking. The students of Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) recognise this and are tremendously proud and blessed to have a sincere and dedicated teaching fraternity.

To appreciate their contributions, Teacher's Day is celebrated each year for students to express their love and gratitude to their phenomenal teachers, brought to life by the active participation and dynamic performances put up by faculty members and students alike.

The tradition of dance is one that is upheld and cherished within Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University). Different forms of this art form, ranging from classical to contemporary, are celebrated and encouraged.

Nrityadarpan is an intra-collegiate programme that is specifically designed to showcase the talent of Jayantians in the art of dancing. Students are auditioned and the selected performances are showcased on that day in an anticipated and vibrant celebration of dance.

Shubhaarambh marks the cultural inaugural celebration welcoming the fresh batch of Jayantians into the vibrant artistic atmosphere of the university. It serves as an initial platform for new entrants to discover their artistic passions, meet fellow performers, and begin their creative journey.

"Art is an effort to create, beside the real world, a more human world," said Andre Maurois. Hence at Kristu Jayanti, both arts and academics are placed on the same platform.

'Sargotsav', the celebration of the heavens, is the literary and cultural fest exclusively for the PG department. It is the time when each of the Jayantians who do their Masters in education break from their busy schedule of academics and involve themselves in the celebration of arts, revealing the height of creativeness and passion of the students.

Since Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) equally values both curriculum and extra curriculum based learning, the college offers a wide range of training programmes to enhance the talents of its students.

Training sessions are provided to the students in various forms of dance, music, instrumental music, creative writing, etc. Moreover, the college also puts forth a wide arena to portray talents through its intra-collegiate cultural fest and various intra-departmental fests. In short, life at Kristu Jayanti itself is an opportunity to amass great knowledge under great teachers in a variety of streams.

The Debating Society provides a vibrant intellectual platform for students to hone their critical thinking, rhetoric, and public speaking skills. Through regular mock debates, parliamentary sessions, and workshops, members develop the ability to articulate viewpoints persuasively on contemporary socio-political and economic issues.

The Anchors Association grooms aspiring emcees and presenters, providing comprehensive training in stage presence, vocal modulation, and audience engagement. Members anchor major institutional conferences, cultural galas, and national fests across the academic year.

The inception of the Writers’ Association coincides with the Silver Jubilee of Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University). The association aims to nurture and promote creative and critical literary expressions among its members. To any student interested in the marvellous ways in which language works, the platform provides an opportunity to explore and enhance their writing abilities.

The association organizes workshops to offer training and suggestions to improve the members’ skills and a platform to present their work to peers and mentors, followed by discussions and critiquing. The association also hosts a blog and publishes a monthly newsletter, allowing members to showcase their work and engage with a wider world of like-minded individuals.
