This programme is an interdisciplinary undergraduate programme designed to provide students with a strong scientific foundation across two rapidly growing fields. This unique programme integrates the investigative and analytical aspects of forensic science with the applied biological technologies of modern biotechnology.
The programme prepares students to meet the demands of industries, research organisations, forensic laboratories, hospitals, and emerging biotechnology sectors. Graduates are trained to apply scientific principles for criminal investigations as well as develop and innovate biotechnological solutions for healthcare, agriculture, diagnostics, and industrial applications. The B.Sc is a three year degree programme. However, as per the provisions of the new National Education Policy (NEP 2020), a student may continue into the fourth year and earn a B.Sc Honours degree.
